Lactation Education, $60: Educating yourself on breastfeeding is one of the highest indicators of meeting your breastfeeding goals. Meet one-on-one with me for an in-home private class where you will learn the anatomy of breastfeeding, how to get started, what you need and what to do when problems arise. 1 hour session.

Postpartum planning session, $60: This is my favorite kind of consult because creating a plan is so impactful for your future self! This kind of support can look like:

• Education on importance of caring for yourself postpartum and how!

• How to create systems of support with friends and family to care for your emotional, physical and social selves.

• Discussion of matrescence and how to create a restful and healing postpartum experience.

Most every lactating parent will come across hurdles and questions in the first days and weeks of breastfeeding. Book an in-home breastfeeding consultation to get personal suggestions and support. What to expect in a session: I will listen to your birth story and your lactation experience so far. I will observe a breastfeeding or pumping session and offer suggestions and guidance. After our session, I will send my consult notes including the suggestions and any relevant resources. 1 hour session, $60. Follow up sessions are $50.

If you’d like a quick consult to troubleshoot breastfeeding/pumping issues or if you live more than 15 miles outside of Duluth, this is a great option. This is also really helpful for postpartum planning. Using a HIPPA-compliant video conferencing platform, I can meet with you online for $40.

Breastfeeding is a full-time job in the first few weeks and you are healing and recovering from 9 months of pregnancy while also recovering from birth. My postpartum doula support includes basic household chores and emotional support while facilitating rest and recovery. Meals are also included. As a postpartum doula, I take on the often invisible work that women do to keep a household running. I often coordinate care with Amanda Barta of Envision Birth.
