Breastfeeding is a full-time job in the first few weeks and you are healing and recovering from 9 months of pregnancy while also recovering from birth. My postpartum doula support includes basic household chores and emotional support while facilitating rest and recovery. Meals are also included. As a postpartum doula, I take on the often invisible work that women do to keep a household running. I often coordinate care with Amanda Barta of Envision Birth. We work together to give your family the support you need. Book a consult to make a postpartum plan. Packages start at $200 for 4 hours of support.

What happens in a consult?
I come to your home and we discuss your breastfeeding goals. We will talk about your birth story and what lactation concerns you have now. I will observe a breastfeeding session and offer insights and suggestions for positioning and latching. I can offer suggestions for nipple healing. I can also help troubleshoot pumping/expressing issues and offer education on how to use various lactation products. We will create a plan together to meet your breastfeeding goaIs. What is your goal in lactation support?
Individually, my goal is to help you reach YOUR breastfeeding and lactation goals. More broadly, I want to help families start life with supportive systems and loving relationships.

Do you take insurance?
As of March 2024, I do not take insurance but hope to at some point. If cost is an issue for you, I offer scholarships for families in need so you can meet with me at no cost to you. I also recommend Ashley Erickson, an IBCLC in our area that does in-home visits and does take insurance.
